What is the BLAK difference?


Safety, reliability and transparency are at the forefront of the relationships we have with our clients.

We don’t add dirty mark-ups or lean soley on technology to offer ‘top service’ to our clients. We are real people with real experience in private air charter.


How important is safety to BLAK?


We place safety at the forefront of what we do. Safety is not compromised by comfort. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of our clients. However, the two are not mutually exclusive, and we do prioritise having you transfered to your destination in style.

BLAK is a flight broker and as such arranges carriage by air, acting as agent of, and on behalf of our clients. We leverage our established industry relationships and knowledge so that our clients travel with Civil Aviation Authority accredited third-party operators whose aircraft and crew meet industry standards.


How does BLAK charter work?


Based on your request, we thoroughly analyse every aspect before we begin sourcing the most suitable aircraft options from our network of approved private operators.

We then continue to work with you to ensure all aspects of your travel are taken care of at all times. From confirming passenger details, ensuring specific catering requirements are arranged, liaising with your elected transportation to and from the airport and more.


Where can I fly?


BLAK proudly boasts an ability to design itineraries that get our clients to the nearest possible point of entry, anywhere in the world.

We cannot guarantee that our operators will be able to reach every runway due to operational restrictions. However, we do work tirelessly to ensure that we find the most suitable solutions to get you to your final destination with ease.

Established in New Zealand, BLAK has grown to now offer you access to aircraft based across Europe, Asia, Australia and the South Pacific.


How does private charter compare to scheduled services?


The two types of services are incomparable when it comes to privacy, comfort and convenience.

You not only avoid airport queues and large groups of people, but you also fly to your schedule and indulge in catering and personal touches tailored to your specifications.


Do you arrange ground transportation?


We are on hand to assist our clients with all aspects of their private charter experience. Be it a helicopter transfer to or from the aircraft, or a luxury sedan or vehicle, BLAK can assist.


How limited am I for luggage?


We advise you on the luggage limitations of each operator's aircraft due to every cargo hold varying in capacity based on the aircraft's size.

As a general rule, we recommend that passengers travel with one standard piece of international luggage and one piece of carry-on hand luggage.


Do the aircraft have WiFi?


WiFi connectivity is only available on certain aircraft.

The Charter Quotation for your requested routing outlines whether WiFi is available on each particular aircraft.


What happens if there is an issue with my aircraft on the day?


Passenger safety is at the forefront of what we do every day.

In the case of an operator experiencing an AOG, we exhaust all possible resources to ensure that a suitable replacement operator is sourced to conduct your flight.

We prescreen all substitute operators to ensure meet the required industry safety standards and operational requirements.


What happens if I need to change or cancel my charter?


If you need to change times, passenger numbers or cancel, we ask that you to allow as much notice as possible so that we can notify all the relevant people such as the operator and Air Traffic Control.

Private aviation charter is all about flexibility, and we will do our utmost to accommodate your requests.

The agreed cancellation terms will apply, and any additional costs due to your proposed change will be passed on to you.


Can I fly with my pet?


In short, yes, subject to various considerations.

Considerations include the size of your pet, the proposed routing, local laws, and whether the operator has the appropriate approvals for pet transport operations.


How soon before my flight should I arrive at the airport?


Each operator and airport has a particular departure procedure. Departures are subject to various operational requirements, and scheduling changes depend heavily on air traffic control authorities.

When it comes to specific logistics for your charter, we will advise you on an appropriate time to arrive at the departure location, and keep you informed on any necessary updates right up until you are wheels up to your destination.

We manage all aspects of the charter flight for you and can provide you with relevant information on behalf of the operator such as weather updates, airport delays and more.
